REGARDING SUBMISSION OF CHECKS AND SUSPENSION ON CERTAIN EXECUTION PROCEEDINGS

The Law on Amendments on Tax Procedural Law and Certain Laws numbered 7318 (“Law No. 7318”) has been published in the Official Gazette dated April 30, 2021 and numbered 31470.

Considering the measures to be implemented across the country as part of the combat against Covid-19 outbreak, the provisions below in Article 15 of the Law No. 7318 will come into force as of April 30, 2021 with the aim to prevent any loss of right:

1. The checks that will be due between the dates of April 30, 2021 and May 31, 2021 (including these dates) will not be submitted during the said dates. Such checks can be submitted after June 1, 2021 within their due dates.
2. Debt enforcement and execution proceedings, provisional attachment decisions, and debt enforcement and execution proceedings being underway will be suspended between the dates of April 30, 2021 and May 31, 2021 (including these dates) for the receivables arising out of bill of exchanges that become due between the said dates.
3. Debt enforcement and execution proceedings will be suspended between the dates of April 30, 2021 and May 31, 2021 (including these dates) for the receivables deriving from public or civil law of the public administrations within the scope of Public Financial Management and Control Law dated December 10, 2003 and numbered 5018.
